Is this a substitute for a will?
No. As U Wish creates a personal property memorandum, which is designed to work alongside your will. Most states let a will reference a separate list of tangible personal property. Have your attorney review it.
Do I need a lawyer?
Not to use the app. Yes, to be certain the memorandum is valid where you live.
How long does this take?
One room at a time. Many people do a drawer or a shelf in an evening. There's no clock.
What if I change my mind about who gets something?
Change it any second. The memorandum you print states that it revokes any earlier one you signed.
Can my family see this before I'm gone?
Only if you want them to. Up for Grabs is the one place you deliberately open the door.
What happens to my records if I stop using the app?
They stay on your device, and you can print or export everything at any time.
Can someone edit my report after I send it?
A determined person with professional PDF software could alter any PDF — ours included. That's why every page prints a fingerprint code. Save the code from your original and you can tell in seconds whether a copy someone hands you is the one you actually made. The original always lives in the app, and you can reprint it any time.
Do my recordings get sent when I share a report?
Yes. When you share a home or room report, the recordings attach as clearly named files, and the printed page carries the transcribed words in their own panel — so the message arrives whether your family is reading on a screen or holding paper.
Does the AI estimate replace an appraisal?
No. Treat it as a starting point for planning, not a valuation.
